Adaptation of children from children?s homes to preschool education

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou adaptace dětí z dětských domovů na předškolní vzdělávání. Cílem práce je prostřednictvím kvalitativních metod zjistit, jak probíhá adaptace těchto dětí v prostředí mateřské školy, jak na ně reagují vrstevníci, a jakým způsobem se snaží svým působením přispívat učitelé pro úspěšný průběh adaptace. Základní metodou výzkumu je polostrukturovaný rozhovor s učitelkami mateřské školy, který umožní získat hlubší vhled do prožívání dětí a zkušeností s procesem adaptace. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na pojmy jako je vývoj dítěte od prenatálního období po předškolní věk, na důležitost citové vazby - teorie attachmentu, a také na problematiku dětských domovů, včetně jejich fungování, důvodů umisťování dětí do těchto zařízení a problémů spojených s ústavní péčí. V neposlední řadě poukazuje na vznik psychické deprivace, přibližuje podstatné vývojové potřeby. V závěru teoretické části se práce věnuje socializaci a adaptaci dítěte v předškolním věku, zahrnující také faktory ovlivňující proces adaptace a možnosti, jak celý proces usnadnit. Výsledky výzkumu by mohly přispět k lepšímu porozumění procesům a způsobům adaptace dětí z dětského domova na nové prostředí mateřské školy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the adaptation of children from children's homes to preschool education. The aim of the thesis is to use qualitative methods to investigate how the adaptation of these children in the kindergarten environment proceeds, how their peers react to them, and how teachers strive to contribute to a successful adaptation process through their actions. The primary research method is semi-structured interviews with kindergarten teachers, which allow for a deeper insight into the experiences of children and experiences with the adaptation process. The theoretical part focuses on concepts such as child development from prenatal period to preschool age, the importance of emotional bonding - attachment theory, and also the issues of children's home, including their functioning, reasons for placing children in these facilities, and problems associated with institutional care. Last but not least, it addresses the emergence of psychological deprivation, elucidates significant developmental needs. In the conclusion of the theoretical part, the thesis focuses on the socialization and adaptation of children in preschool age, including factors influencing the adaptation process and possibilities to facilitate the entire process. The research results could contribute to a better understanding of the processes and methods of adaptation of children from children's home to the new environment of kindergarten.
