The physiotherapy protocol for the recovery of shoulder function following Latarjet surgery: clinical case

Abstract:

The pathology that will be treated during the report is shoulder instability and ligament laxity that can often be present in those affected. More precisely, the paper will focus on the effects of instability on the complex of shoulder joints, frequent in young subjects and athletes, due to the greater joint stress due to sport. Initially, the anatomy of the shoulder and instability from a pathophysiological point of view will be described, then those sports gestures that can negatively affect the joint stability of the upper limb and shoulder will be analyzed from a biomechanical point of view. Subsequently, all possible therapies to treat shoulder instability will be described, then the possible conservative therapy and surgical therapies that have scientific evidence.

Abstract:

La patologia che verr? trattata nel corso dell'elaborato ? l'instabilit? della spalla e la lassit? legamentosa che spesso pu? essere presente nei soggetti che ne sono affetti. Pi? precisamente, l'elaborato si concentrer? sugli effetti dell'instabilit? sul complesso di articolazioni della spalla, frequenti nei soggetti giovani e negli atleti, a causa del maggior stress articolare dovuto allo sport. Inizialmente, sar? descritta l'anatomia della spalla e l'instabilit? dal punto di vista fisiopatologico, poi verranno analizzati, dal punto di vista biomeccanico, quei gesti sportivi che possono incidere negativamente sulla stabilit? articolare dell'arto superiore e della spalla. Successivamente, verranno descritte tutte le terapie possibili per curare l'instabilit? di spalla, quindi la possibile terapia conservativa e le terapie chirurgiche che hanno evidenze scientifiche.
