Emotional and social skills of adolescents

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zabývám tématem emočních a sociálních kompetencí v konkrétní vývojové etapě, etapě adolescence. Úvodní kapitola teoretické části je věnována pojmu adolescence se zaměřením na vývojové úkoly této etapy a jejich vzájemný vztah s emočními a sociálními kompetencemi. V dalších kapitolách teoretické části jsou popsány samotné termíny emoční a sociální kompetence, s nimi související termíny emoční a sociální inteligence. Sumarizuje též významné modely emoční a sociální inteligence a ukazuje přehled existujících nástrojů k jejich měření. Zahrnuta je též teorie sociálních kompetenci R. E. Riggia. Praktická část analyzuje kvantitativním výzkumem individuální rozdíly na úrovně jednotlivých komponent emočních a sociálních kompetencí a jejich srovnáním mezi studenty technicky a humanitně zaměřených středních škol. Pro zjištění úrovně jednotlivých emočních a sociálních komponent byla zvolena metoda Social Skills Inventory.

Abstract:

In the diploma thesis I deal with the topic of emotional and social competences in a specific phase of development, the stage of adolescence. The initial chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the concept of adolescence focusing on the developmental tasks of this stage and their interrelation with emotional and social competences. In the other chapters of the theoretical part, terms of emotional and social competences, related emotional and social intelligence terms are described. It also summarizes important models of emotional and social intelligence and shows an overview of existing tools to measure them. I also include the theory of social competence of R. E. Riggio. In the practical part, quantitative research is used to analyse individual differences at the level of individual components of emotional and social competences and their comparison between students of technically and human-oriented secondary schools. The Social Skills Inventory method was chosen to determine the level of individual emotional and social components.
