Comparative Advantages and Disadvatages of Czech Export Companies

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je analýza a vyhodnocení komparativních výhod českých exportních firem. V teoretické části je definován zahraniční a mezinárodní obchod a jsou vysvětleny vzájemné rozdíly. Je zde také popsána absolutní a komparativní výhoda a princip, na kterém obě fungují. Na konci teoretické části jsou shrnuty modely, na jejichž základech mezinárodní obchod stojí. Druhá část práce popisuje zahraniční obchod České republiky, a to včetně aktuální situace a institucí na území ČR, které mezinárodní směnu podporují. Dále jsou nalezeny a popsány komparativní výhody, jimiž ČR obecně disponuje. Ty jsou v další části přeneseny na konkrétní příklady českých exportních společností, kterými jsou L I N E T spol. s r.o. a Laird, s.r.o. Dvě zmíněné firmy jsou popsány a analyzovány. V dalším kroku je u obou provedena SWOT analýza včetně konfrontační matice, ze které jasně vyplývá, čemu by podniky měly věnovat svou pozornost.

Abstract:

The main aim of this Bachelor's Thesis is to analyze and evaluate the comparative advantages and disadvantages of Czech export companies. In the theoretical part, foreign and international trade are defined and their differences are explained. The absolute and comparative advantage and the principle on which they operate are described as well. At the end of the theoretical part, models on which international trade is based are summarized. The second part of the thesis, the practical one, describes foreign trade in the Czech Republic, including the current situation and institutions on the Czech territory which support international exchange. Furthermore, comparative advantages which the Czech Republic generally possesses are identified and described. These advantages are then transferred to specific examples of Czech export companies, namely L I N E T spol. s.r.o. and Laird, s.r.o. These two companies are described and analyzed. In the next step, a SWOT analysis, including a Confrontation Matrix, is performed on both companies, from which it is clear what the companies should focus on more.
