The feminist movement in modern Judaism
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem židovské víry k feminismu. Hledá odpověď na to, zda je judaismus patriarchálním náboženstvím a jak chápala tato společnost role žen dříve a dnes. Dále popisuje omezení židovských žen v různých aspektech života a zároveň sleduje vývoj feministického hnutí. Toto hnutí, v čele s některými významnými osobnostmi, dodnes bojuje za rovnoprávnost a mír mezi gendery.
Abstract:
The bachelor's thesis deals with the relationship of the Jewish faith to feminism. It seeks an answer to whether Judaism is a patriarchal religion and how this society understood the roles of women before and today. It also describes the limitations of Jewish women in various aspects of life and at the same time traces the development of the feminist movement.
