Software Quality Management in the Company XY

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá procesem testování softwaru s ohledem na jeho řízení a zajištění kvality. Teoretická část se věnuje základním pojmům, které souvisí s tématem diplomové práce. Je zde pojednáno o kvalitě, procesním řízení a softwaru. Posléze se práce za-bývá testováním softwaru v návaznosti na metodiky vývoje softwaru, zvyšováním kvality procesu testování prostřednictvím modelu TMMi a modelováním procesů. Obsahem analytické části je procesní analýza současného stavu procesu testování softwaru ve společnosti XY. Identifikované podprocesy jsou posléze vymodelovány a zachyceny do Karet procesů. Zjištěné nedostatky jsou předmětem návrhu řešení na zlepšení řízení kvality procesu testování softwaru. Návrh řešení je poté implementován na současný stav procesu testování softwaru s cílem dosáhnout druhé úrovně zralosti procesů testování softwaru ohodnocenou oproti modelu TMMi.

Abstract:

This master's thesis examines the process of software testing in terms of its management and guarantee of quality. The theoretical section is concerned with basic concepts related to the topic of the master's thesis.Therein are discussed the concepts of quality, process management, and software. Afterwards, the thesis covers software testing in relation with the methodology of software development, increasing the quality of the testing process through the TMMi model, and modeling processes. The content of the analytical section is the process analysis of the current state of the software testing process in company XY. Identified sub-processes are then modeled and captured in the Card processes. Discovered shortcomings are the subject of a proposed solution for improving the management of the quality of the software testing process. The proposed solution is thereafter implemented into the current state of the software testing process, with the aim of reaching the second level of development in the software testing process evaluated in comparison with the TMMi model.
