Recruitment and Career Growth of Employees with an Emphasis on the Bank Institution

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat proces získávání zaměstnanců a zhodnotit možnosti kariérního růstu ve vybrané bankovní instituci. Práce se skládá z literární rešerše a aplikační části. Literární rešerše definuje důležité pojmy spojené se získá-váním, výběrem a kariérním růstem zaměstnanců. Je zpracována dle odborné literatury, která obsahuje knihy a články. Aplikační část začíná představením vy-brané bankovní instituce. K analýze získávání a výběru zaměstnanců je využito informací z interních dokumentů společnosti, neřízených rozhovorů a zúčastněného pozorování. Dále tato část obsahuje dotazníkové šetření, které vnáší do problematiky pohled také z druhé strany – od zaměstnanců. Práce je zakončena diskusí výsledků a doporučeními, která mohou proces získávání zefektivnit a zvýšit zájem zaměstnanců o kariérní růst.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the process of recruiting employees and to evaluate the possibilities of career growth in a selected banking institution. The thesis consists of a literature search and an application part. Literary research defines important terms related to the recruitment, selection and career growth of employees. It is based on literature, which contains books and articles. The application part begins with the introduction of the selected banking institution. Information from internal documents of the company, uncontrolled interviews and participating observations are used to analyze the recruitment and selection of employees. Furthermore, this part contains a questionnaire survey, which brings the issue from the other side - from employees. The work is concluded with a discussion of results and recommendations that can make the process of acquisition more effective and increase the interest of employees in career growth.
