Possibilities and Implications of Using ICT in Primary School Teaching

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je zkoumat, zda užití ICT ovlivňuje výsledek vzdělávání žáků, tedy jejich školní prospěch, a jejich přístup k výuce, pocit spokojenosti, komfortu, celkové klima třídy. Aby tyto otázky mohly být zkoumány, byla vytyčena hypotéza: Využití ICT nemá výrazný vliv na zvládnutí konkrétní výukové látky žáky. Dále je stanovena výzkumná otázka: Mají děti prvního stupně kladný vztah k využívání ICT metod ve výuce? Výzkumnými metodami je experiment, při němž je žákům vybraných tříd předneseno modelové téma. V jedné skupině s využitím ICT ve výuce, v druhém bez ICT. Následně je zadán vstupní a výstupní didaktický test na kontrolu osvojení výkladu tématu, a výsledky jsou porovnány. Odpověď na druhou výzkumnou otázku poskytne krátký dotazník.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focusing on a question, whether the use of ICT in concrete interpretation affects the outcome of the education, which means the competency of the pupils and their attitude towards study, the feel of satisfaction, comfort and the overall feel of the classroom. In order to answer these questions, the hypothesis has been marked out. H1: the use of ICT does not have a profound impact on handling of the concrete topic or theme of the lecture by the pupils. Therefore a valid research question has been played down: "do the children of the first degree have a positive attitude towards the use of ICT teaching methods?" The selected research method is an experiment in which the pupils are splitted into two group and one group is using the education method without the use of ICT and the second group with the use of ICT. Afterwards the entrance and final didactical tests are being assigned to test the success of the adoption of the lectures and the results are compared. The answer to the research question is provided by a short questionnaire.
