Selected Emotional Terminology in Slavic and West Germanic Languages - Comparison in Etymological Perspective
Abstract:
Práce se zaměřuje na etymologický rozbor termínů označujících pozitivní emoce člověka v současných slovanských a západogermánských jazycích a také na následovné porovnání jejich etymologie. Součástí je i analýza sémantické motivace. V prvním dílu je poskytnut popis povahy emocí a nástin vývoje slovanských a západogermánských jazyků.
Abstract:
The work focuses on the etymological analysis of terms denoting positive hu-man emotions in contemporary Slavic and West Germanic languages as well as on the comparison of their etymology. An analysis of semantic motivation is also in-cluded. The first part provides a description of the nature of emotions and an out-line of the development of Slavic and West Germanic languages.
