Modelling of Economic Systems Using Fractals

Abstract:

Předložená práce je zaměřena na dynamický finanční model, ve kterém se vyskytuje deterministický chaos. V této práci je zpracován úvod do teorie fraktálů, dynamických systémů v ekonomii, diferenciálních rovnic, úrokových měr a investiční poptávky. Dále se tato práce věnuje programovému vyjádření modelu dynamického finančního systému pomocí SW Wolfram Mathematica a následné grafickému znázornění. Hlavním cílem předložené bakalářské práce bylo analyzovat chování představeného finančního systému, které bylo shledáno chaotickým za většiny podmínek. Možným rozšířením této práce by mohlo být širší studium chování v závislosti na čase, či na volbě parametrů systému.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with dynamic financial model yielding deterministic chaos. The thesis is based upon theories of fractals, dynamic systems in economics, differential equations, interest rates and investment demand. It studies possibilities of modelling dynamic financial models using Wolfram Mathematica, and their graphical representation. Main goal of submitted bachelor thesis was to analyse behaviour of studied financial system, which has been found to be chaotic in most conditions. Wider study of behaviour depending on time of the system, or selection of parameters could be next direction of study.
