Kaizen method and its use in a financial institution

Abstract:

Tato bakalářské práce pojednává o Kaizen metodě a jejím využití ve vybrané finanční instituci. Jejím hlavním cílem je analýza finančních dopadů při využití metody Kaizen ve společnosti. Teoretická část práce je věnována literární rešerši. Ta definuje základní pojmy z oblasti neustálého zlepšování jako 5S dobrého hospodaření, Muda, Mura, Muri, cyklus PDCA a další. Poznatky získané z literární rešerše jsou dále využity ve výsledkové části, která se zabývá jeho praktickým využitím ve vybrané finanční instituci. Zaměřuje se na druhy plýtvání a koncepty napomáhající jeho redukci. Součástí praktické části je představení procesu realizace nápadů a rozbor jeho dílčích kroků. K dosažení hlavního cíle vede modelové zpracování analýzy nákladů a výnosů a jejich srovnání. Na závěr je zhodnocena aplikace a přínos této metody ve vybrané finanční instituci.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is about the Kaizen method and its application in a selected financial institution. Its main objective is to analyse the financial impact of the Kaizen method in the company. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to literature search. It defines the basic concepts in the field of continuous improvement such as 5S of good management, Muda, Muri, PDCA cycle and others. The knowledge gained from the literature search is further used in the results section which deals with its practical application in the society. It focuses on the types of waste and the concepts that help to reduce it. The practical part includes a presentation of the process of implementation of ideas and an analysis of its sub-steps. To achieve the main objective, a model-based elaboration of cost-benefit analysis and their comparison leads to the main objective. Finally, the application and contribution of this method in a selected financial institution is evaluated.
