Complete restoration treatment of a convolute of three early prints by Daniel Adam of Veleslavín from 1592

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá komplexním restaurováním konvolutu starých tisků zMuzea Jihovýchodní Moravy ve Zlíně. Kniha obsahuje celkem tři tituly, všechny zroku 1592 z dílny Daniela Adama zVeleslavína, a to "ITINERARIVM SACRAE SCRIPTVRAE: To gest: Putowánj Swatých Na wssecku Swatou Biblj obogjho Zákona, rozdelené na dwě knihy...", dále "Hystoria Židowská. Na Knihy čtyry rozdělená" a poslední "Wypsánj Města Geruzaléma y Předměstj geho" Zdůvodu značného poškození jak knižního bloku, tak i vazby bylo nutné přistoupit krestaurování. Práce je koncipována jako kompletní restaurátorská dokumentace, obsahuje typologický popis objektu, popis poškození, restaurátorský záměr, celý postup restaurování, seznam použitých materiálů a podmínky uložení objektu. Dále je rozšířena o informace vztahující se ktiskaři Danielovi Adamovi zVeleslavína, jednotlivým tiskům a grafické výzdobě a průzkumu provenience a majitelů. Neméně důležitou součástí práce je i podrobná fotografická dokumentace stavu objektu před restaurováním a po něm a během samotného procesu. Dále se vpráci nachází příloha textová, jejíž součástí jsou protokoly a výstupy jednotlivých analýz průzkumu a grafická a obrazová příloha, které doplňují typologický a typografický popis.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the complete restoration treatment of a convolute of three early prints from the Museum of Southeast Moravia, Zlín. The book contains three titles, all of them from 1592, printed by Daniel Adam Veleslavín, namely ITINERARIVM SACRAE SCRIPTVRAE: To gest: Putowánj Swatých Na wssecku Swatou Biblj obogjho Zákona Hystoria Židowská. Na Knihy čtyry rozdělená and Wypsánj Města Geruzaléma y Předměstj geho... The restoration intervention was carried out due to significant damage to the book block and binding. The bachelor's thesis is conceived as complete restoration documentation; it contains a typology description, condition characteristics, a treatment plan, the description of the restoration treatment, the list of materials used and a recommendation for storage condition. Also, it contains information about Daniel Adam Veleslavín, historical context of this object and typographic description. The detailed photographic documentation of the restoration treatment and the condition before and after the restoration are of crucial importance, too. In addition, there is a text supplement which includes survey protocols and outputs. The last part of the paper is a graphic and picture supplement which support the typological and typographic descriptions.
