Direct medical costs for the treatment of bipolar affective disorder patients in the South Bohemian Region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na stanovení výdajů zdravotní pojišťovny na léčbu bipolární afektivní poruchy. Zkoumá zejména přímé medicínské náklady na léčbu jednotlivých fází bipolární afektivní poruchy, které mezi sebou následně porovnává. Vzhledem k tomu, že se práce specializuje na přímé náklady zdravotní pojišťovny, vynaložené na onemocnění, byl jako vhodný metodologický rámec použit výběr farmakoekonomické analýzy Cost of illness, speciálně část přímé náklady medicínské s perspektivou zdravotní pojišťovny. Bipolární afektivní porucha je chronické psychiatrické onemocnění, charakteristické střídáním dvou protikladných epizod mánie a deprese. Výsledky výzkumu mohou pomoci s prioritizací zdravotní péče, zvláště pokud budou doplněny dalšími studiemi, týkajícími se efektivity.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on determining the expenses of the health insurance company for the treatment of bipolar affective disorder. In particular, it examines the direct medical costs of treating the individual phases of bipolar affective disorder, which it then compares with each other. Given that the work specializes in the direct costs of the health insurance company, spent on the disease, a selection of pharmacoeconomic analysis Cost of illness, especially the part of direct medical costs with the perspective of the health insurance company, was used as a suitable methodological framework. Bipolar affective disorder is a chronic psychiatric illness characterized by the alternation of two opposite episodes of mania and depression. The results of the research can help with the prioritization of health care, especially if they are supplemented by other studies related to effectiveness.
