Diplomová práce je pokusem o srovnání románu Život a názory blahorodého pana Tristrama Shandyho spisovatele Laurence Sterna z druhé poloviny osmnáctého století s jeho dosud jediným filmovým zpracováním Tristram Shandy: Ptákovina a bejkárna režiséra Michaela Winterbottoma z roku 2005. In this thesis I tried to compare the well-known novel The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman by Laurence Sterne with its one and only film adaptation A Cock and Bull Story directed by English director Michael Winterbottom in 2005.
