Abstract:
This bachelor thesis discusses the main ideas of the Enlightenment present in the Victorian Britain, which relates to the evolution of detective fiction as a genre and depicts their typical features in the character of Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson.

Bakalárska práca sa venuje hlavným myšlienkam osvietenstva prítomným v spoločnosti viktoriánskej Británie, v súvislosti s následným rozvojom žánru detektívnej literatúry a predstavuje ich typické znaky na postave Sherlocka Holmesa a Dr Watsona.
