Abstract:
Tato bakalářská diplomová práce si klade za cíl objasnit, zda a jakým způsobem se sochaři Emanuelu Maxovi podařilo dostát novým požadavkům kladeným na sochařskou pomníkovou tvorbu v 1. polovině 19. století na příkladu sousoší sv. Cyrila a Metoděje. Další intenci představuje popis osudů vzniku díla, jeho zasazení do dobového kontextu uměleckého i společenského a stručný životopis umělce.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to clarify, on the example of the sculptural group of Saints Cyril and Methodius, whether and in what way the sculptor Emanuel Max managed to meet the new requirements put on sculptural monumental works in the first half of the 19th century .
