The Analysis of Using Accounting Information for Financial Management in the Company XYZ, a.s.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou účetních informací pro finanční řízení podniku XYZ, a.s. Je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část pojednává o významu účetnictví a jeho zákonné úpravě, o možnosti získávání a využití účetních informací prostřednictvím účetních výkazů, dále o finančním řízení, které zahrnuje především plánování a rozhodování. V neposlední řadě je jako součást finančního řízení popsána finanční analýza a její přínos pro společnost. V závěru teoretické části je zmíněna důležitost controllingu. Praktická část obsahuje nejprve představení společnosti a její zaměření, následně porovnání s odvětvím. Dále jsou zkoumány účetní informace, jejich použití a důležitost pro vedoucí pracovníky, plánování a kontrola ve společnosti. Také je provedena finanční analýza, která je zaměřena na nejdůležitější ukazatele, jako je likvidita, rentabilita, aktivita či zadluženost. Finanční analýza odhaluje slabé místa ve společnosti a ukazatele jsou srovnávány s odvětvím. Praktická část je zakončena doporučením pro zlepšení stávajícího stavu v oblasti finančního řízení společnosti XYZ, a.s.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of accounting information for financial management of the company XYZ, Inc. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the importance of accounting and its statute, the possibility of obtaining the financial information through the financial statements, as well as with the financial management, which consists mainly of planning and decision making- Finally as part of the financial management, the financial analysis and its contribution for the company is described. At the end of the theoretical part, the importance of controlling is highlighted. The practical part contains a presentation of the company´s focus, then comparison with the industry. There is also examined the financial information, its use and importance for managers, planning and control within the entity. We can find here the financial analysis which focuses on the most important indicators, such as liquidity, profitability, activity or indebtedness. The financial analysis reveals weaknesses within the enterprise, and indicators are compared with industry. The practical part ends with recommendations for improving the current situation of the financial management of the company XYZ, Inc.
