Analysis of the motivation of young people from socially excluded localities to study at high school.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce bude tematicky orientovaná na problematiku úspěšného nasměrování mladých lidí ze sociálně vyloučených lokalit v ČR ke studiu na střední škole. Práce bude rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou. V úvodu bude zdůvodněn výběr tématu práce. Teoretická východiska práce budou zahrnovat poznatky z problematiky vzdělávání, středního školství, motivace ke studiu, volních vlastností jedince, jeho aktuálního vývojového období a charakteristik sociálně vyloučeného prostředí. Cílem praktické části diplomové práce bude analýza nejzávažnějších příčin, které ovlivňují a podmiňují studium mladých lidi ze sociálně vyloučeného prostředí k úspěšnému nasměrování na střední školu. Vlastní empirické šetření bude mít charakter kombinace kvalitativního a kvantitativního sběru dat. Bude rozděleno do tří fází. Pro každou z nich bude zvolena relevantní výzkumná metoda. Hlavní výzkumnou metodou bude vytvořený dotazník. Získaná data budou relevantně vyhodnocena a jejich interpretace umožní výstup pro praktickou aplikaci. Cílem přesahu do praxe bude možnost zlepšení nasměrování dětí ze sociálně vyloučených lokalit do oblasti středních škol a zvýšení jejich školní úspěšnosti.

Abstract:

"This dissertation will be thematically oriented it on the issue of the effective targeting of children/young people from socially excluded locations in Czech Republic, and their failure of study at High School. The work will divide into theoretical and practical study. The choice of the topic will be given at the introduction stage. The study will include theoretical background knowledge of educational problems, including High School education, and motivation to study; through the assets of an individual. The study will also include a current development of the issue and characteristics of the socially excluded backgrounds. The aim of the practical part of this dissertation is analysis and study of children/ young people from most socially excluded environment. And also, I will include a personal research and conclusions; what makes an individual successful and what is they aim of a good educational achievement. Empirical investigation of a study will have a character of a combination of a qualitative and quantitative data collection. This research will be divided into three phases. Each phase will have a chosen relevant research of a method. Main research method will be created out of questionnaire. The developed data is going to be relevantly evaluated and then interpretation is going to be used for practical application. The aim of this study is to put this research into practice and improve options for children/ young people from socially excluded locations. Inform and educate children/ young people and increase their chance of a successful future throughout the education."
