Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Zhodnocení výhod vlastně-vytvořené učebnice“ se zabývá tématem vlastně-vytvořených učebnic v prostředí jazykových škol, a zda takový materiál může poskytnout určité výhody v porovnání s komerčně vydávanými učebnicemi. Tato práce analyzuje a porovnává aspekty dvou učebnic na základě vybraných kritérií s cílem zjistit, zda vytváření vlastní učebnice stojí za to úsilí. Teoretická část práce se zabývá výukovým materiálem obecně, později se zaměřuje konkrétně na učebnice, a jazykovými školami z obecného i více specifického hlediska. Empirická část nabízí samotný výzkum, konkrétně s popisem vybraných učebnic, analýzou a výsledky. Metody, které byly v práci využity, zahrnují rozhovor s jazykovými školami o učebnicích, které využívají a jejich přístup k nim, dotazník se zahraniční jazykovou školou o jejich vlastně-vytvořené učebnici, a analýza dvou učebnic na základě daných kritérií s jejich následnou komparací.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis titled “Benefit Assessment of a Self-Designed Coursebook” deals with the matter of self-designed coursebooks in a language school environment and whether such material may provide any benefits compared to a commercially published coursebooks. The thesis analyses and compares aspects of two coursebooks based on a list of set criteria with the aim to determine whether designing own material is worth it. The theoretical part focuses on teaching materials, within which textbooks are highlighted, and language schools, both in a general and more specific sense, while the empirical part provides the reader with the research, detailed with the coursebooks' descriptions, the analysis itself and the results. The methods used in the thesis include interviews with directors of studies of various language schools about the coursebooks they use and their policy on them, a questionnaire conducted with a foreign language school about their self-designed coursebook, and analysis of the two coursebooks based on set criteria and their comparison.
