Abstract:

Diplomová bakalářská práce nabízí a rozpracovává alternativní způsob hodnocení knihoven. Popisuje veřejné knihovnické a informační služby, které je knihovna povinna ze zákona zajistit na základě rovného principu všem bez rozdílu a poukazuje na jejich rozdílnou úroveň. Významná část práce se zabývá soudobými standardy knihovních služeb a s nimi souvisejícími metodickými pokyny příslušných ministerstev. Hledá jejich pozitiva, ale také nedostatky a apeluje na jejich zdokonalení. Zaměřuje se na malé neprofesionální obecní knihovny na území české republiky. Způsob hodnocení je aplikován na tři knihovny, které se nacházejí v lokalitě Vyškovska. Základním hlediskem pro jejich výběr je obsluhovaná populace. Hodnocení knihoven vychází ze standardu veřejných knihovnických a informačních služeb, který však značně rozšiřuje, doplňuje a především nabízí knihovnám způsob jak zlepšit součastný stav. Hodnocení je rozděleno do sedmi kategorií, které zahrnují 45 faktorů. Ty obsahují mimo jiné zejména údaje o návštěvnosti, knihovním fondu a poskytovaných službách s důrazem na vybavení informačními a komunikačními technologiemi. Zjišťována byla také míra regionální spolupráce a přínos ke kulturnímu dění v obci. Součástí hodnocení je také slovní popis současného stavu.

Abstract:

The graduation thesis offers and elaborates an alternative way of the libraries evaluation. It describes public librarian and information services, which the library is obliged by law to provide, on the basis of the equal principle for everybody indiscriminately and it points out their different standards. A significant part of the thesis deals with contemporary standards of librarian services and with the related guidelines of appropriate government departments. It seeks for their positives but also their deficiencies and appeals to their improvement. It focuses on small nonprofessional local libraries on the territory of the Czech Republic. The evaluation technique is applied to three libraries which are situated in Vyškov district. The main viewpoint for their selection is attended population. The libraries evaluation results from public librarian and information services standard, though the evaluation considerably extends it, complements it and first of all it offers to the libraries how to improve a contemporary situation. The evaluation is divided into seven categories, which compromise 45 factors. Among others they cover visit rate data, librarian collection data and data about provided services with an emphasis on information and communication technologies equi pment. Also the rate of regional cooperation and its contribution to cultural events in the community was detected. A verbal description of the contemporary situation is also included in the evaluation.
