Práce se zabývá americkým hudebním skladatelem Georgem Gershwinem a jeho ?Rapsodií v modrém?. Obsahuje životopis skladatele a kapitolu zabývající se jeho kompozičním stylem. Podstatná část práce je věnována skladbě pro klavír a orchestr ?Rapsodie v modrém?. Zaměřuje se na historii vzniku, strukturu, specifika díla a hlavně na vývoj interpretace skladby. Abstract:
This diploma thesis concerns American musician George Gershwin and his Rhapsody in Blue. It describes the life of this composer and it includes one chapter that deals with the composition style. A substantial part is devoted to the composer´s Rhapsody in Blue.
