Social Support for Elderly People in Institutional Care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřeuje na osobní postoj seniorů k poskytované sociální opoře a jejím hlavním cílem je analýza názorů seniorů, žijících v domovech pro seniory, na úroveň poskytování sociální opory v institucionálním zařízení. K dosažení cíle bude využito kazuistik a osobních rozhovorů se seniory. Získané poznatky budou porovnány s dostupnými dokumenty sociální opory v institucionálním zařízení. Teoretická část podává vysvětlení základních pojmů a uvádí do problematiky sociální opory a institucionální péče, zaměřené na seniory. Věnuje se definování struktury, zdrojům poskytování, možným úskalí a formám sociální opory. V návaznosti pokračuje praktická část využívající poznatků z předchozí teoretické části a pojednává o otázce: ,,Jaký mají senioři pohled na sociální oporu, jak ji vnímají a zda jsou s ní spokojeni či nikoliv?". Z hlediska specifikace zkoumané problematiky a cílové skupiny bylo pomocí nástrojů zaměřující se na konkrétní jedince vyhodnoceno a v závěru práce odpovězeno na pokládanou otázku, tedy zda poskytovaná sociální opora koreluje s představami seniorů. Hlavním objektem zkoumání jsou osoby seniorského věku žijící v pobytové sociální službě. Předmětem zkoumání jsou názory a postoje k poskytované sociální opoře.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis focuses on the personal attitude of seniors towards the provided social support and its main goal is the analysis of the opinions of seniors living in homes for the elderly on the level of social support provision in institutional facilities. Case studies and personal interviews with seniors will be used to achieve the goal. The theoretical part provides an explanation of the basic terms and introduces the issue of social support and institutional care, focused on the elderly. It is dedicated to defining the structure, sources of provision, possible pitfalls and forms of social support. This is followed by a practical part that uses the knowledge from the previous theoretical part and discusses the question: What is the seniors' view of social support, how do they perceive it and whether they are satisfied with it or not?. From terms of the specification of the researched issue and the target group, it was evaluated with the help of tools focusing on specific individuals, and at the end of the work, the question raised was answered, whether the provided social support correlates with the ideas of seniors. The main object of the research is elderly people living in residential social services. The subject of research are opinions and attitudes towards the provided social support.
