Téma, které jsem v této práci zpracovala je krajní levice v České republice se zaměřením na Komunistickou stranu Československa a její následovnici Komunistickou stranu Čech a Moravy. V první části práce jsem popsala vývoj dělnického hnutí v Čechách i na Slovensku od konce 19. století, vznik KSČ v roce 1921 a další vývoj strany, až do převzetí moci v roce 1948.
