Development of movement competences and motivation for movement activities in preschool age/motivation of parents and the level of movement competences of their children

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, zda existuje vztah mezi dosaženou úrovní pohybových kompetencí dětí předškolního věku a motivací k pohybové aktivitě jejich rodičů. Pro získání údajů o motorických dovednostech vybrané skupiny dětí byla použita testová baterie MABC-2 (Test motoriky pro děti). K testování motivace k pohybovým aktivitám rodičů dětí byl použit dotazník MPAM-R (dotazník Motivace k pohybové aktivitě). Pro posouzení vztahu mezi testovanými skupinami (děti a jejich rodiče) byl použit test korelace. Na základě vyhodnocení výsledků jednotlivých dětí bylo dle pravidel pro vyhodnocení zjištěno, že jsou motorické kompetence testované skupiny velmi dobré. Žádné dítě nevykazovalo riziko pohybových obtíží ani závažné pohybové problémy. Na základě vyhodnocení dat dětí i rodičů, bylo zjištěno, že neexistuje statisticky významná závislost mezi pozorovanými proměnnými.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out whether there is a relationship between the level of physical competence of preschool children and their parents' motivation for physical activity. The MABC-2 (Motor Abilities Battery for Children) was used to obtain data on the motor skills of a selected group of children. The MPAM-R (Motivation for Physical Activity Questionnaire-R) was used to test the motivation for physical activity of the parents of the children. Correlation test was used to assess the relationship between the tested groups (children and their parents). Based on the evaluation of the results of each child, according to the rules for evaluation, the motor competence of the tested group was found to be very good. No child showed risk of motor difficulties or severe motor problems. Based on the evaluation of the data of both children and parents, it was found that there was no statistically significant relationship between the observed variables.
