Selected thermomechanical properties of the kinesiotape

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit vybrané termomechanické vlastnosti kinesiotapu. K popisu struktury byl využit počítačový mikrotomograf. Mechanické vlastnosti byly určeny na základě provedených deformačních tahových zkoušek. Stanovení termomechanických parametrů proběhlo na přístroji simulujícím potící se lidskou pokožku. Z výsledků provedených experimentů vyplývá, že kinesiotape představuje kompozitní, nelineárně elastický a porézní materiál. Mez linearity je charakterizována relativním prodloužením epsilon = 0,3, přičemž mez klinické použitelnosti se nachází u epsilon = 0,75. Inženýrský Youngův modul E se u sledovaných vzorků pohybuje v rozmezí 0,20 až 0,24 MPa. Tepelný odpor tapu je Rct = 0,020 +- 0,002 [m2.K/W], výparný odpor pak Ret = 9,7 +- 1,0 [m2.Pa/W]. Zjištění získaná v rámci této bakalářské práce budou využita v navazujících výzkumech zabývajících se problematikou kinesiotapingu.

Abstract:

The main aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out selected thermomechanical properties of the kinesiotape. To describe the structure micro-CT system was used. Mechanical properties were determined on the basis of the strain tensile tests. Determination of thermomechanical parameters was carried out on the device simulating sweating human skin. The results of experiments show that kinesiotape is a non-linearly elastic and porous material. The limit of linearity is characterized by a relative extension of epsilon = 0.3, the limit clinical utility is located at epsilon = 0.75. Engineering Young´s modulus E is moved in the investigated samples in the range of 0.20 to 0.24 MPa. The thermal resistance of kinesiotape is Rct = 0.020 +- 0.002 [m2.K/W] and the evaporative resistance Ret = 9.7 +- 1.0 [m2.Pa/W]. The findings obtained in this thesis will be used in subsequent studies dealing with problems of kinesiotaping.
