A Defense of the Music Formalism: Selected Text of the Modern Anglo-American Discussion
Abstract:
Diplomová práce má za cíl obhájit tvrzení, že posluchač tzv. absolutní hudby může při poslechu hudebního díla prožívat jisté emoce, avšak absolutní hudba samotná tyto emoce nevyjadřuje. Pomocí výkladu a rozboru textů moderní angloamerické diskuse o hudebním formalismu a pomocí vlastního praktického průzkumu se pokusíme doložit, že naše základní tvrzení je správné.
Abstract:
Diploma thesis aims to defend the statement which says that the auditor of so called absolute music can experience certain emotions, but absolute music itself does not express these emotions. By means of interpretation and analysis papers of modern anglo-american discussion about musical formalism and by the help of our own practical research we try to attest that our basic proposition is correct.
