Complications of multiple pregnancy and during labour

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou komplikací u vícečetného těhotenství a v průběhu porodu. Práce je zaměřena na osobní zkušenosti participantek s péčí a informovaností při komplikacích vícečetné gravidity. Teoretická část obsahuje obecné dělení vícerčat, management péče, konkrétní popis nejčastějších komplikací u matky i plodů, dále je zde kapitola o možnostech vaginálního porodu, popis operativních porodů a v poslední kapitole se věnuji psychice žen. Teoretická část zpracovává poznatky dostupné v odborné literatuře. Praktická část se zabývá kvalitativním výzkumem, konkrétně se jedná o hloubkovou analýzu dvou rozhovorů s ženami, které si prošly komplikacemi u vícečetné gravidity a v průběhu porodu. V závěru práce jsou shrnuta veškerá zjištění a jsou zde publikovány doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the problem of complications related to multiple pregnancy and birth. It is focused on personal experience of female participants with provided care and awareness during complications of multiple pregnancy. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the general types of multiple pregnancies, care management, specific description of the most common maternal and fetal complications, the next chapter is dedicated to options of vaginal delivery, description of surgical delivery and the final chapter addresses the psychology of women. The theoretical part processes the findings available in the literature. The practical part focuses on qualitative research, specifically an in-depth analysis of two interviews of two women, who went through complications during multiple pregnancy and birth. The final part of the thesis summarises all findings and includes recommendations for practice.
