Koncentrace živin v hlavičkách vrchovištních rašeliníků ve vztahu k hlavním vegetačním gradientům

Nutrient concentrations in bog Sphagnum capitula with respect to major vegetational gradients

Abstract:

Abstrakt Spolu s vysokými depozicemi dusíku se do ekosystému dostává větší množství živin. Na oligotrofních ombrotrofních vrchovištích se nadbytek živin může projevit změnou mikrostruktury povrchu nebo invazí druhů náročnějších na živiny. Na vrchovištích střední Evropy od západních Krušných hor, přes sudetská pohoří na severních hranicích České republiky až po Oravsko-Nowotargskou kotlinu v polsko-slovenském pohraničí byly zapsány fytocenologické snímky a odebrána biomasa hlaviček jednotlivých druhů rašeliníků. V této biomase byly stanoveny koncentrace základních živin (N, P, K) a následně byly vypočítány živinové poměry (N:P, N:K). Statistickými metodami byly hodnoceny rozdíly v rámci jednotlivých studovaných oblastí a odebíraných druhů rašeliníků. Nejvyšší poměry N:P a N:K odpovídaly vrchovištím Jizerských hor, kde jsou nejvyšší depozice dusíku a zároveň velmi nízké hodnoty koncentrace fosforu. V rámci jednotlivých druhů se koncentrace živin nijak významně nelišily, nižší poměr N:P byl zjištěn u rašeliníků ze sekce Cuspidata v oblastech s nižší depozicí dusíku. V některých oblastech s úrovní depozice dusíku kolem 1-1,5 g/m2 byl N:P poměr kvůli vysoké koncentraci fosforu překvapivě nízký a odpovídal poměru zjištěnému v Evropě v oblastech s mnohem nižší depozicí. Jedná se zejména o vrchoviště s poklesající hladinou vody v létě. Vztah živin a jejich poměrů k ostatním faktorům prostředí a druhovému složení vegetace byl posuzován pomocí metod přímé a nepřímé gradientové analýzy. Vyrovnaný vodní režim a vysoká depozice dusíku podporují růst některých druhů přechodových rašelinišť. Při rozkolísaném vodním režimu dochází k prosychání svrchních vrstev rašeliny. To napomáhá dekompozici a uvolňování ostatních živin a množství dusíku z depozice se pak při úrovních depozice kolem 1-1,5 g/m2 ještě neprojeví. Na takováto vrchoviště se pak šíří především druhy náročnější na živiny, mezofilní druhy a trávy.

Abstract:

High nitrogen deposition level supplies more nutrients to the ecosystem. It is particularly important in ombrotrophic bogs, whose nutrient balance depends totally on atmospheric deposition. Sampling of biomass from Sphagnum mosses was carried out in Central European bogs in the Sudeten Mts. and in the Orava-Nowy Targ basin in 2006–2007. Phytosociological relevés were recorded at each of the mires under study. Concentrations of major nutrients were determined in Sphagnum capitula where N, P, K are the most concentrated. Statistical methods were used to explain differences between regions and between Sphagnum species. Highest N:P and N:K ratios were observed in the Black Triangle (Jizerské Mts). In this region, highest nitrogen deposition level together with extremely low phosphorus concentrations were recorded. For particular Sphagnum species I have found minor differences, except for lower N:P ratio in Sphagnum sect. Cuspidata in regions less influenced by N deposition. In some regions with deposition levels about 1-1.5 g.m-2, N:P ratio was surprisingly low due to enhanced P concentration, and it corresponded well with N:P ratio found in European bogs subjected to much lower nitrogen deposition. It holds especially for bogs with decreasing water table in summer. Direct and indirect gradient analyses were applied to explain the relationship between Sphagnum tissue chemistry and vegetation composition. I can conclude that unchanged water regime and high deposition level supports growth of some species typical of poor fens. On the other hand, fluctuating water table causes nutrients, including P and K, to release due to decomposition and the effect of enhanced N input seems to have different effect. Here, graminoids, mesophilous and more nutrient demanding plants expand to bog vegetation.
