Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Návrh a uživatelské testování aplikace na kognitivní trénink pro jedince se schizofrenií“ si klade za cíl na základě psychologických poznatků a výzku-mů vytvořit a uživatelsky otestovat první návrh aplikace, která by mohla sloužit jako nástroj pro kognitivní trénink schizofrenikům. Teoretická část této práce se zabývá psychiatrickým onemocněním schizofrenie, její historií, vývojem v čase, etiopatoge-nezí, prevalencí a incidencí a dotýká se také její symptomatice, diagnostice a v poslední řadě také léčbě. V teoretické části je také věnována kapitola kognitivnímu deficitu, který u schizofrenie nastává. Jsou popsány jednotlivé oblasti kognitivního deficitu a je vysvětlen širší kontextu pohledu na tuto problematiku. Poslední klíčo-vou částí teoretické sekce je rešerše informací ke kognitivnímu tréninku, který je na-vrhován jako řešení kognitivního deficitu u pacientů se schizofrenií. Je rozebrán ko-gnitivní trénink jak tradiční, tak i jeho novější forma – počítačový kognitivní trénink. Jsou zde obsáhle vyloženy nejnovější poznatky výzkumů v této oblasti. Empirická část práce se zabývá popisem prvků navrhované aplikace na kognitivní trénink a kvantitativní analýzou získaných dat. Uživatelská přívětivost a použitelnost aplikace byla v rámci aplikace uživatelsky testována na neklinické populaci pomocí dotazníku User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). V závěru práce byl navržen možný navazující výzkumný plán pro podrobnější průzkum této dosud příliš neprobádané oblasti.

Abstract:

The thesis "Design and User Testing of a Cognitive Training Application for Individuals with Schizophrenia" aims to design and user test the first design of an application that could serve as a tool for cognitive training for schizophrenics based on psychological knowledge and challenges. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the psychiatric disease of schizophrenia, its history, evolution over time, etiopathogenesis, prevalence and incidence, and touches upon its symptoms, diagnosis and, last but not least, treatment. The theoretical part also includes a chapter on the cognitive deficits that occur in schizophrenia. The different domains of cognitive deficit are described and the broader context of the view of this issue is explained. The last key part of the theoretical section is a review of information on cognitive training, which is proposed as a solution to cognitive deficits in patients with schizophrenia. Cognitive training, both traditional and its newer form, computerized cognitive training, is discussed. Recent research findings in this area are extensively laid out. The empirical part of the paper deals with the description of the elements of the proposed application to cognitive training and quantitative analysis of the data obtained. The user-friendliness and usability of the application was user-tested on non-clinical population using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The thesis concluded by proposing a possible follow-up research plan for a more detailed exploration of this hitherto under-researched area.
