Vlachs: Shepherds and border guards
Abstract:
The bachelor's thesis deals with so called Wallachian or Vlach colonization, Vlach law and vlachs – shepherds living in Orava in the period from 15th to 17th Century. It follows the development of Vlach law and privileges of vlachs as a shepherds in the region and it tries to interpret reasons why there were changed after some time.
Abstract:
Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá takzvanou valašskou kolonizáciou, valašským právom a valachmi - pastiermi žijúcimi na Orave v období od 15. až do 17. storočia. Sleduje vývoj valašského práva a privilégií valachov v regióne a pokúša sa interpretovať dôvody, prečo v nich po čase došlo k zmenám.
