Teachers attitudes toward education of children with different mother language

Abstract:

Obsah diplomové práce bude věnován postojům a přístupům pedagogů ke vzdělávání žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem na základních školách v České republice. Práce bude rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretický oddíl bude zaměřen na vymezení základní terminologie vztahující se k dané problematice, jako je charakteristika žáka s odlišným mateřským jazykem, zařazení žáka do běžné třídy základní školy, podpůrná opatření a legislativní ukotvení. Dále bude jeho obsahem charakteristika role pedagoga a využívané formy a metody práce při vzdělávání cizinců na základních školách. Šetření v empirické části bude realizováno kvantitativní metodou pomocí dotazníkového šetření s oslovením pedagogů základních škol v České republice. Jeho cílem bude zjistit, jaké postoje zaujímají pedagogové základních škol ke vzdělávání žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem. Získaná data budou vyhodnocena adekvátními statistickými metodami, interpretována a diskutována. V závěru práce budou na základě dosažených zjištění zformulována doporučení pro podporu pedagogů základních škol, kteří pracují s žáky s odlišným mateřským jazykem.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis Teachers attitudes toward education of pupils with different mother tongue will be devoted to the attitudes and approaches of pedagogues toward education of pupils with a different mother tongue in primary schools in the Czech Republic. The thesis will be divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part will be focused on the definition of basic terminology related to the given issue, such as the characteristics of a pupil with a different mother tongue, the inclusion of a pupil in a regular primary school class, support options, legislation and statistics of foreigners in the Czech Republic. Next, we will describe the forms and methods used in the education of foreigners in primary schools. In the practical part we will use quantitative method. We will use questionnaire addressing teachers in primary schools in the Czech Republic. The goal of the investigation will be to find out what attitudes elementary school teachers take towards the education of pupils with a different mother tongue. The obtained data will be evaluated with adequate statistical methods, interpreted and discussed. At the end of the work, will be formulated recommendations for the support of elementary school teachers who work with pupils with a different mother tongue.
