Social Education Methods and Practices of J.J. Ryba in the Context of Contemporary Social Pedagogy

Abstract:

Tato vědecká práce se zaměřuje na specifické, novátorské (vzhledem k době) a originální pedagogicko-sociální postupy ve výchově a edukaci Jakuba Jana Ryby. Jedním z hlavních úkolů textu, je právě komparace s dnešními trendy moderní pedagogiky 21. století. Autor se snaží také o "evangelizaci" persony J. J. Ryby, která je z jeho pohledu nedostatečná v kontextu sociální pedagogiky. Teoretická část zmiňuje život a dílo J. J. Ryby, jak soci-ální a pedagogické, tak i hudební tvorbu, byť jen marginálně. V empirické části se autor věnuje výzkumu, kde pracuje se vzorkem sociálně pedagogických odborníků a zjišťuje jejich znalost o osobě J. J. Ryby, respektive se snaží zjistit jejich doporučení, pro větší aplikaci Rybových postupů v dnešní sociální pedagogice. Kvalitativní výzkum byl prová-děn formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Výstupy z těchto rozhovorů byly analyzová-ny prostřednictvím otevřeného kódování, načež byly vyvozeny příslušné závěry, které byly následně diskutovány.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on Jakub Jan Ryba's specific, innovative (respectively to age) and ori-ginal pedagogical and social practices in the upbringing and education. One of the main tasks of the thesis is a comparison to today's trends of modern pedagogy in the 21st cen-tury. The author supports the efforts to "evangelize" the personality of J. J. Ryba, which he perceives to be inadequate in the context of his contribution to social pedagogy. The theoretical part refers to the life and work of J. J. Ryba, both social and educational, brie-fly mentioning his musical achievements as well. In the empirical part, the author focuses on the research, working with a sample of social - pedagogical experts and exploring their knowledge on the work of J. J. Ryba. The main target is to figure out their recommen-dations, how better to apply Ryba's practices in today's social pedagogy. The experimen-tal part is based on a qualitative research, conducted through semi-structured interview. Outputs from these interviews have been analyzed through open coding, followed by ap-propriate conclusions, which have been subsequently discussed.
