Funding options for non-profit organizations

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je představit veškeré možnosti financování neziskových organizací a následné porovnání financování dvou zvolených neziskových organizací působících v odlišných odvětvích v České republice. Práce je rozdělena do dvou logicky navazujících sekcí, teoretická část se zabývá specifickými znaky neziskového sektoru, vymezením neziskového sektoru z právního hlediska, analýzou trendu neziskového sektoru v České republice v posledních letech, problémy neziskového sektoru a objasněním dostupných možností financování. V praktické části jsou na úvod představeny zvolené neziskové organizace, a je vysvětlen jejich výběr, následně jsou porovnány způsoby jejich financování. Cílem praktické části je zjistit, zda jsou nestátní neziskové organizace z různých odvětví financovány stejným poměrem z veřejného a soukromého sektoru a případně stanovit, jak moc významný rozdíl hraje v tomto poměru roli. V závěrečné části práce jsou shrnuty poznatky z teoretické a praktické části a vyhodnocení splnění stanovených cílů práce.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to present all the financing possibilities of non-profit organizations and the subsequent comparison of the financing of two selected non-profit organizations operating in different sectors. The thesis is divided into two logically connected sections, the theoretical part deals with the specific features of the non-profit sector, the definition of the non-profit sector from a legal point of view, the analysis of the trend of the non-profit sector in the Czech Republic in recent years, the problems of the non-profit sector and the clarification of available financing options. In the practical part, selected non-profit organizations are first introduced and their selection is explained, followed by a comparison of their financing methods. The aim of the practical part is to find out whether non-governmental non-profit organizations from different sectors are financed by the same ratio from the public and private sector and, if necessary, to determine how significant a difference plays a role in this ratio. The final part of the work summarizes findings from the theoretical and practical part and evaluates the fulfilment of the set goals of the work.
