Social Construction of Wine from the Moravian Winemakers' Point of View

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce s názvem Sociální konstruovanost vína u vinařů na Moravě se zabývá výzkumem vybrané komunity Vín originální certifikace. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak funguje komunita vinařů VOC Mikulov a jakým způsobem vinaři utvářejí představy o kvalitě vín. Bakalářská práce je rozdělená do tří hlavních kapitol. První kapitola, teoreticko-metodologická část, se zabývá vinařskou oblastí Morava, jejími podoblastmi, spolkem VOC a představuje ostatní apelační systémy VOC na Moravě a zahraniční apelace, regionální rozvoj pomocí cestovního ruchu a sociologické téma. V Sociologické části je bližší seznámení se sociálními skupinami, sociálními sítěmi a teorie habitu podle Pierra Bourdieu. Druhá část práce, analytická kapitola, je zaměřena na kvalitativní výzkum vybrané komunity vinařů VOC Mikulov v mikulovské vinařské podoblasti, kde byl osobně proveden výzkum pomocí přímých rozhovorů s vinaři v jejich přirozeném prostředí. Rozhovor se zaměřoval zejména na fungování VOC komunity jako sociální skupiny s vlastním sociálním kapitálem, na efektivně využitý marketing v rámci VOC Mikulov spojený s regionálním rozvojem a turismem a na habitus vinaře, jakým způsobem vytváří preference a vnáší je do skupiny. Z rozhovorů vyplynulo, že VOC Mikulov je sociální skupina a velice dobře fungují sociální sítě mezi vinaři a je zde určitá vazba sociálního kapitálu, vinaři si mezi sebou pomáhají, důvěřují a spolupracují. Třetí část práce se zabývá návrhem vhodných variant pro zlepšení fungování spolku VOC a zlepšení marketingové stránky zaměřené na konzumenta, který neví, o čem je Víno originální certifikace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis Social Constructin of Wine from the Moravian Winemakers´ Point of View deals with the research of selected community of Original Certification Wine. The aim of this thesis is to detect the operation of the VOC Mikulov wine-growers' community and winemakers composing of the wine quality image. This bachelor thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first part, the theoretical-methodological chapter, deals with the wine-growing region of Moravia, its sub-regions, the VOC association and introduces other VOC appellation systems in Moravia and foreign appellations, tourism regional development and sociological theme. The sociological section includes elaborated understandings of social groups, social networks and habit theory according to Pierre Bourdieu. The second part of this thesis, the analytical chapter, is focused on the qualitative research of the selected VOC Mikulov wine-growers' community in the Mikulov wine sub-region. The research was conducted through direct interviews with winemakers in their natural environment. These interviews were focused mainly on the functioning of the VOC community as a social group with its own social capital, on effectively used marketing within VOC Mikulov associated with regional development and tourism and on the wine-growing habit, preferences´ creation and incorporation into the group. The interviews indicated that VOC Mikulov is a social group and social networks work very well amongst winemakers and there is a certain link of social capital, winemakers are helping, trusting and cooperating with each other. The third part of this thesis deals with the proposal of suitable options for improving of VOC operation and the marketing site focused on the consumer who does not know Original Certification Wine.
