Characterization of soils in the Mohelno Serpentine Steppe Nature Reserve

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Charakteristika půdních poměrů v přírodní rezervaci Mohelenská hadcová step“ je zaměřena na provedení pedologického průzkumu a stanovením základních půdních vlastností v národní přírodní rezervaci Mohelenská hadcová step. Základní půdní vlastnosti jako textura, půdní reakce, vodivost, tlumivost, obsah a kvalita humusu, stupeň humifikace a obsah přístupných živin byly stanoveny standardními analytickými metodami. Porovnány byly půdy pod travinnou stepí a suťovým lesem. Byly zjištěny průkazně odlišné hodnoty půdní reakce a obsahu humusu u půdy pod travnatou stepí a suťovým lesem. Obsah přístupných živin byl dobrý, kromě nízkého obsahu fosforu.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „Characterization of soils in the Mohelno Serpentine Steppe Nature Reserve“ deals with the soil survey and the determination of basic soil properties in the Mohelno Serpentine Steppe Nature Reserve. Basic soil properties such as texture, soil reaction, conductivity, buffering capacity, humic substances content and quality, humification degree and content of available nutrients were determined by standard analytical methods. Soils under grass steppe and rubble forest were compared. Statistically significant differences were found between grass steppe and rubble forest in pH and organic carbon content. Amount of available nutrients was good, except low phosphorus content.
