Traffic in women and non-profit-making organizations

Abstract:

Téma bakalářské práce je Obchod se ženami a neziskové organizace. Mým cílem je přiblížit širší veřejnosti postavení současné problematiky obchodu se ženami. Zjistit, jaký je současný stav v České republice. Zda zde existuje dostatečná právní úprava pro potrestání pachatelů a ochranu obětí, dostatečné množství pomáhajících organizací či dostatečná informovanost veřejnosti o dané problematice. Důvodem pro výběr právě tohoto tématu bylo mé působení v Poradně Elpis, která sídlí v Ostravě a úzce spolupracuje s organizací La Strada Česká republika. V práci se věnuji teoretické části, která je tvořena sedmi kapitolami, přibližuji zde veškeré pojmy související s výše uvedenou problematikou. Seznamuji se základními definicemi, které se týkají obchodu se ženami. Zamýšlím se nad příčinami vzniku tohoto problému. Charakterizuji fáze a formy obchodování. Analyzuji důvody, proč se přesto stále nedaří obchod s lidmi v této zemi plně vymýtit. Zdůrazňuji také roli nestátních neziskových organizací a podrobně popisuji českou neziskovou organizaci La Strada. V dalších kapitolách rozebírám právní rámec problematiky obchodu s lidmi v České republice. V empirické části seznamuji s výsledky z dotazníkového šetření, které jsem prováděla mezi studenty Obchodní akademie Ostrava - Poruba. Po provedení dotazníkového šetření u studentek maturitních ročníků působících na této škole, se klaním k názoru většiny respondentů, a to že hlavní problém spočívá v nedostatečné informovanosti o tomto problému. Je to způsobeno absencí informační kampaně. Tato práce by mohla sloužit jako přehled současného stavu obchodování se ženami v České republice a snad i přispět k lepší informovanosti veřejnosti o tomto závažném porušení základních lidských práv a svobod. Stojím si za názorem, že obchodování se ženami je velký problém, kterému je třeba věnovat pozornost. Obchodované osoby potřebují pomoc, kterou mohou nalézt u pomáhajících nevládních neziskových organizací.

Abstract:

A theme of this bachelor thesis is ?Traffic in women and nonprofit making organizations?. My aim is to describe to wider public the state of the current problems of traffic in women. Investigate the current state in the Czech Republic. Whether there is sufficient legislation to punish perpetrators and protect victims, sufficient number of helping organizations and sufficient public awareness of the problems. The reason for selecting this theme was my work in a consulting centre Elpis, located in Ostrava and which cooperate closely with La Strada Czech Republic. In the thesis I deal with the theoretical part, consisting of seven chapters, I describe all terms associated with the above problems. I apprise of the basic definitions related to traffic in women. I come to think of the causes of this problem. I characterize the phases and the forms of trafficking. I analyzse the reasons why it is a problem to completely eradicate human traffic in this country. I also emphasize the role of nongovernmental nonprofit organizations and I describe in detail Czech nonprofit making organization La Strada. In the others chapters I analyze the legal framework for the problems of human traffic in the Czech Republic. In the empirical part I present the results of the questionnaire survey that I conducted among students of Business Academy of Ostrava - Poruba. After carrying out a questionnaire survey of students who study at this school and who are at school-leaving class, I bow to the opinion of most respondents and that the main problem is lack of awareness about this problems. It is caused by the absence of information campaign. This bachelor thesis could serve as an overview of the current situation of traffic in women in the Czech Republic and hopefully contribute to inform the public about this serious breach of fundamental human rights and freedoms. I consider the traffic in women as a big problem which need attention. Trafficked persons need assistance which can be find at helping nongovernmental nonprofit making organizations.
