Multi-criteria analysis of desktop and cloud approaches to data mining

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzování a srovnání vybraných data miningových nástrojů. Důraz se klade na porovnání rozdílů mezi desktopovými a cloudovými přístupy k data miningu a jejich využití. Práce začíná definováním pojmu data mining, poté přibližuje metodiku CRISP-DM, srovnává desktopový a cloudový přístup k data miningu, porovnává silné a slabé stránky těchto přístupů a přibližuje nástroje používané v následující části práce. V praktické části porovnává tyto nástroje za pomocí vícekriteriální analýzy, výsledky porovnání vedou k vyvození závěru práce.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze and compare selected data mining tools. The focus is on comparing the differences between desktop and cloud approaches to data mining and their usage. The thesis starts by defining the term data mining, then introduces the CRISP-DM methodology, compares desktop and cloud approaches to data mining, compares the strengths and weaknesses of these approaches and introduces the tools used in the next part of the thesis. The practical part compares these tools using multi-criteria analysis, and the results of the comparison lead to drawing a conclusion of the thesis.
