Obecná část práce podává obecný popis nového osidlování pohraničí po roce 1945 a představuje poválečnou přeměnu správních struktur v Československu. Zmiňuje normativní předpisy a podrobně rozebírá dekret prezidenta republiky upravující slučování obcí. Dále popisuje průběh, fáze a procesní okolnosti změn názvů obcí. The general part of thesis gives a common description of borderlands resettlemement after the year 1945 and presents the conversion of administrative structure in Czechoslovakia.
