Abstract:

Tato práce si klade za cíl komplexně analyzovat trh rizikového kapitálu Evropské unie (EU). Tato práce si klade za cíl analyzovat odvětví jako celek a také analyzovat každou zemi konkrétně za účelem stanovení trendů a posouzení odvětví, která přitahují nejvíce rizikového kapitálu. Trh rizikového kapitálu v EU byl analyzován pomocí kvantitativních a kvalitativních metod sběru dat. Nejvýraznějším přínosem této práce je poskytnutí dat, která nejsou dostupná v otevřených zdrojích, protože povaha trhu rizikového kapitálu a investování není běžně dostupná konvenčními metodami vyhledávání dat. Tato práce si klade za cíl poskytnout aktuální pohled na trh rizikového kapitálu v EU a také interpretovat jeho zjištění z hlediska charakteristik a vývoje jednotlivých zemí. Práce poskytuje informace o tom, které země jsou pro startupy hledající investice rizikového kapitálu nejoptimálnější, a také o odvětvích, která přitahují nejvíce investic rizikového kapitálu v rámci EU. Další analýza odhaluje země, které nabízejí nejméně příznivé podmínky pro nové startupy, a poskytuje informace o tom, které země mimo EU mají v jednotlivých zemích EU významnou roli v oblasti rizikového kapitálu.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to comprehensively analyse the venture capital market of the European Union (EU). This thesis will aim to analyse the industry as a whole, as well as analysing each country specifically in order to establish trends and assess the industries that are attracting the most venture capital. The EU venture capital market has been analysed using quantitative and qualitative methods of gathering data. The most prominent contribution of this thesis is providing data that is not available in open sources, as the nature of venture capital market and investing is not readily available through conventional methods of searching for data. This thesis aims to provide the current snapshot view of the EU venture capital market, as well as interpreting its findings in terms of individual country characteristics and development. The thesis provides information on which countries are the most optimal for startups seeking venture capital investments, as well as the industries that attract the most venture capital investments within the EU. Further analysis reveals countries that offer the least favourable conditions for new startups, and provides information on which countries that are outside the EU have a prominent role in venture capital in each EU country.
