Smart grids from the perspective of retailers

Anotácia:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na roli obchodních společností při implementaci chytrých sítí v rámci sociotechnické tranzice a přijímání disruptivních inovací. Prostřednictvím analýzy rozhovorů s manažery předních českých energetických firem zkoumá postoje těchto společností k příležitostem a rizikům, které chytrá síť přináší. Tyto postoje následně diskutuje s existující literaturou a komentáři Unie komunitní energetiky. Práce pozoruje rezistentní přístup obchodníků vůči implementaci chytrých sítí a zkoumá překážky úspěšné implementace.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the role of retail companies in implementing smart grids in the context of sociotechnical transition and the adoption of disruptive innovation. Through the analysis of interviews with managers of leading Czech energy companies, it explores the attitudes of these companies towards the opportunities and risks that the smart grid offers. It then discusses these attitudes with existing literature and commentary from the Community Energy Union. The thesis observes the resistant attitude of retailers towards smart grid implementation and explores the barriers to successful implementation.
