Robotization in the hospitality industry - position of robots and their future development

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na možnosti implementace robotů v hotelovém provozu na základě postojů zákazníků vůči této technologii. Automatizace a robotizace mají za cíl zrychlit a optimalizovat různé procesy, které slouží lidem v hotelnictví. Cílem práce je vytvořit návrhy na implementaci robotů v hotelnictví na základě výzkumu. Výzkum bude zaměřen na analýzu vnímání zákazníků uplatnění robotů v hotelovém provozu, aby byly navrženy vhodná řešení pro poskytování služeb v hotelech. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje pojmy související s touto tématikou. V praktické části bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření mezi návštěvníky hotelu, s cílem zjistit jejich názory na používání robotických zařízení v ubytovacích zařízeních. Na základě výsledků tohoto šetření a provedení rozhovoru se zástupcem firmy dodavatelů robotů byly navrženy možnosti implementace robotů v hotelech v rámci automatizace, která je trendem v hotelovém průmyslu a bude se v nadcházejících letech stále více rozvíjet. Hotely, které chtějí být konkurenceschopné, budou muset investovat do nových technologií, inovací a digitalizace. Získané poznatky budou sloužit jako východisko pro doporučení hotelovým provozovatelům, kteří uvažují o zavádění robotů do svých hotelů.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the possibilities of implementing robots in hotel operations based on customer attitudes towards this technology. Automation and robotization aim to speed up and optimize various processes that serve people in the hotel industry. The goal of the thesis is to create proposals for the implementation of robots in the hotel industry based on research. The research will be focused on the analysis of customers' perception of the application of robots in hotel operations in order to design suitable solutions for the provision of services in hotels. The theoretical part of the work explains terms related to this topic. In the practical part, a questionnaire survey was conducted among hotel visitors, with the aim of finding out their opinions on the use of robotic devices in accommodation facilities. Based on the results of this investigation and conducting an interview with a representative of a robot supplier company, the possibilities of implementing robots in hotels were proposed as part of automation, which is a trend in the hotel industry and will develop more and more in the coming years. Hotels that want to be competitive will have to invest in new technologies, innovation and digitization. The knowledge gained will serve as a starting point for recommendations to hotel operators who are considering introducing robots into their hotels.
