Design and implementation of mobile application with geolocation

Abstract:

V práci je rozebrána problematika geolokačních technologií a jejich uplatnění v mobilních aplikacích. Začátek práce se stručně zabývá historií určování polohy a definicí základních pojmů jako určování polohy, geolokace, souřadnicové systémy a další. Dále jsou popsány nejrozšířenější způsoby geolokace rádiové systémy, Wi-Fi a GSM geolokační systémy a další, včetně porovnání jejich parametrů. Druhá, praktická část práce popisuje návrh a vývoj mobilní aplikace pro systém Android. Aplikace slouží pro ukládání geografických souřadnic a jejich zobrazení na mapě a v rozšířené realitě. Jsou zde dokumentovány jednotlivé etapy vývoje aplikace. Nakonec je uveden stručný návod, jak aplikaci používat a je vyhodnocena funkčnost a přesnost aplikace.

Abstract:

This thesis describes geolocation technologies and their application in mobile devices. The beginning of the thesis briefly deals with the history of positioning systems and definition of basic concepts such as positioning, geolocation, coordinate systems and more. The most widespread types of geolocation are described radio systems, Wi-Fi, GSM geolocation systems and others, including comparison of their parameters. Another part of the thesis analyzes the usability of geolocation systems in mobile applications. The second, practical part of the thesis describes the design and development of a mobile application for Android. The application is used to store geographic coordinates and display them on a map and in an augmented reality. There are documented individual stages of application development. Finally, there is a tutorial which describes how to use the application and evaluation of its functionality and accuracy.
