Těžba nerostných surovin je vždy důležitý faktor pro hospodářský rozvoj území. V Libereckém okrese se můžeme setkat s mnohými příklady dobývání těchto surovin a to jak povrchově, tak i hlubině. Každé dobývání nerostného bohatství je však doprovázeno působením na své nejbližší, mnohdy ale i na širší okolí. The mineral materials mining is always important factor for economic expansion each areas. In Liberec's region we can encounter with a lot of examples of open-cast and underground mining. However every digging of the mineral wealth affects local and distant areas.
