Support and Development of Talent at Pupils from Romany Ethnical Group.

Abstract:

Tento text se zabývá problematikou nadání u romských dětí a žáků, jejich školní úspěšnosti a bariérami ve vzdělávání. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí – teoretické a praktické. V první části je vymezena problematika nadání, inteligence a tvořivosti, dále obsahuje specifika romského etnika a jejich vztahu ke vzdělávání. Uvedena jsou také některá zákonná opatření pro podporu a rozvoj nadání a metody a techniky používané ve školách při práci s nadanými dětmi. Druhá část obsahuje kvalitativní šetření, které je zaměřeno na pět dětí ze sociokulturně znevýhodněného prostředí. Nejčastěji používanými metodami jsou rozhovory a pozorování. Zahrnuta jsou zde i doporučení pro práci s romskými dětmi od lektorek romského volnočasového střediska.

Abstract:

This text deals with the questions of the talent at Roma children and pupils, their success at school and barriers in education. The work is divided to two parts – into a theoretical and practical one. In the first part, the question of talent, intelligence and creativity is defined. Next, it contains specifics of Roma ethnical group and their affinity to the education. Several legal measures for support and development of talent and methods and techniques to school work with talented children are introduced. The second part contains a quality research which is concentrated on five children from the socially and culturally deprived background. The most often methods of interviews and observations are used. It also includes recommendations for the work with Roma children from lectors of the Roma free-time centre.
