Multicultural education in kindergartens in the Czech republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská prace se v ramci sve teoreticke casti zameruje na analyzu multikulturalismu v kontextu Ceske republiky, a to s durazem na různé aspekty socialnich procesu při vzdelavani deti v materskych skolach. Dale se soustredi na pripravu pedagogu pro efektivni zarazeni deti z ruznorodeho prostredi do kolektivu. Empiricka cast prace je provedena prostrednictvim kvantitativniho vyzkumu, tedy pomocí dotazniku, jehož cilem je zjistit, jake jsou postoje rodicu a pedagogu k vyuzivani prvku multikulturni vychovy v materskych skolach. V zaveru prace jsou autorčina zjisteni komparovana s jiz realizovanymi studiemi. Autorka je seznamena s aktualni smernici c. 5E/2019 - Vedeni, psani a odevzdavani kvalifikacnich praci PF UJEP, kterou dodržuje v prubehu psani bakalarske prace.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of multiculturalism in the context of the Czech Republic, with an emphasis on various aspects of social processes in the education of children in kindergartens. It also focuses on the preparation of teachers for the effective inclusion of children from diverse backgrounds into the collective. The empirical part of the thesis is carried out through quantitative research, i.e. by means of a questionnaire, the aim of which is to find out the attitudes of parents and teachers towards the use of elements of multicultural education in kindergartens. At the end of the thesis, the author's findings are compared with the studies already conducted. The author is familiar with the current Directive No. 5E/2019 - Management, writing and submission of qualification theses of the Faculty of Education of the Jagiellonian University, which she follows during the writing of her bachelor thesis.
