Abstract:
Celogenomové sekvenování (WGS, z ang. whole genome sequencing) je alternativní přístup pro kmenovou charakterizaci patogenů. Pomocí WGS dat lze stanovit kompletní sekvenci genomové DNA. Lze tak detekovat i nově vzniklé geny rezistence a virulence. To vede k lepšímu pochopení rezistence mikroorganismů na antibiotika a infekčních onemocnění která způsobují. Whole genome sequencing (WGS) is an alternative approach to strain characterization of pathogens. The complete genomic DNA sequence can be determined using WGS data. Thus, newly emerging resistance and virulence genes can be detected. It leads to a better understanding of the antibiotic resistance of microorganisms and the infection diseases caused by pathogens.
