Práce je zaměřena na historii vzniku a činnost Přírodovědeckého spolku, který vznikl v Opavě v roce 1895 a působil zde až do roku 1938. Po celou dobu svého trvání se významnou měrou zasloužil o šíření zájmu o přírodu Slezska a popularizací její ochrany. Nemalý význam má i jeho činnost edukační. Abstract:
The work is focused on the history of the creation and activities of the Naturalists' Association, which was founded in Opava in 1895 and operated there until 1938. Throughout its existence, it contributed significantly to spreading interest in the nature of Silesia and popularizing its protection. Its educational activity is also of considerable importance.
