Financial Analysis of a company

Abstract:

Podstatou mé bakalářské práce je analýza finanční situace podniku Jipocar Transport, s. r. o. za období let 2007 - 2012. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, a to část teoretickou a část aplikační. V teoretické části nejprve uvedu podstatu, cíl a účel finanční analýzy. Dále v této části představím vstupy finanční analýzy a její uživatele. Dalším bodem teoretické části jsou metody finanční analýzy, a to analýza absolutních ukazatelů a poměrových ukazatelů. V závěru této části popíši souhrnné modely (bonitní a bankrotní modely). V praktické části nejprve charakterizuji podnik a jeho hlavní aktivity. Poté se zabývám hodnocením kapitálové a majetkové struktury podniku. Dále se věnuji poměrovým ukazatelům – zadluženosti, rentabilitě, aktivitě a likviditě. Dalším bodem v praktické části je analýza Du Pontova rozkladu rentability. Praktickou část bakalářské práce doplňuji o bonitní a bankrotní modely – Altmanův model, Index In, Kralickův test a ekonomickou přidanou hodnotu. V závěru práce zpracuji vyhodnocení analýz, uvedu návrhy opatření a predikci budoucího vývoje.

Abstract:

The aim of bachelor thesis is to analyze financial situation of Jipocar Transport Ltd. in 2007 – 2012. It is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on the nature, aim and purpose of financial analysis. Furthermore, the entries of financial analysis and users are described in theoretical part. A significant part of the paper deals with methods of financial analysis, e. g. an analysis of absolute indicators and ratios. The final part is devoted to cumulative models (solvency and bankruptcy models). Above-mentioned enterprise and its activities are characterized in the practical part. It answers the question of assessment of capital and owner structure of the company. Besides, it pursues the aim of financial ratios indicators-indebtedness, profitability, activity and liquidity. Another point in this particular part is the analysis of Du Pont decomposition of profitability. Subsequently value and bankruptcy models – Altman´s model, Index IN, Kralick´s test and Economic Added Value are investigated. In conclusion the evaluation of these analyses and suggested measures and forecasts are described.
