Nanočástice oxidu zinečnatého jsou velice variabilní materiály, schopné u rostlin vyvolat pozitivní i negativní odpovědi na jejich působení. Negativní účinky jsou často spojeny s jejich nadměrnou koncentraci, která může u rostlin vyvolat oxidační stres.
