The attitudes, knowledge and experience of police officers to the problems of addictive substances

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zjištění postojů policistů k problematice návykových látek, mapování jejich znalostí a zkušeností. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické rovině diplomová práce vymezuje drogovou teorii z hlediska základních poznatků, rozdělení a účinků návykových látek, rovněž se zabývá pojetím vzniku a vývoje látkové závislosti. Další část je věnována objasnění teorie postojů z pohledu jednotlivých autorů. V diplomové práci je charakterizována náplň práce Policie ČR, je zde uvedeno její organizační členění a popsán policejní útvar, který se zaměřuje na drogovou problematiku. Poslední část se zabývá právní úpravou drogových deliktů. V praktické části je hlavním cílem seznámit se s pohledem novojičínských policistů na problematiku návykových látek. Výzkumná část zjišťuje názory policistů na marihuanu a pervitin, zkoumá, jaké postoje policisté zaujímají k držení, užívání a uživateli návykových látek, a mapuje znalosti policistů o návykových látkách v souvislosti se sociálně patologickými jevy, s legislativou a s riziky kontaktu se závislými. Rovněž je také prověřována osobní zkušenost s užitím návykové látky a poslední část je zaměřena na zjištění, zda mají policisté dostatek informací o problematice návykových látek, odkud je získávají a zda jsou spokojeni s informacemi ze strany zaměstnavatele.

Abstract:

A goal of this dissertation is finding out of policemen´s attitudes in addictive substances issue, mapping of their knowledge and experience. The dissertation is divided into two parts ? theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part of the dissertation is defined the drug theory from the perspective of basic knowledge, the distribution and effects of addictive substances, it also deals with the concept of creation and the evolution of drug addiction. Furher part deals with explanation of theory of attitudes from the point of view of individual authors. In the thesis there is characterized the job content of Police of the Czech Republic, its organizational structure and description of the police department, which focuses on the drug problem. The last part is concerned with legislation of drug offences. In the practical part the main goal is to get acquainted with the point of view of policemen from Nový Jičín in addictive substances issue. The research part deals with the survey of the views of policemen on marijuana and methamfetamin, examines the attitudes of policemen to possession, use and users of addictive substances and maps the knowledge of policemen about addictive substances in the context of socio-pathological phenomena, with legislation and with the risks of contact with addicts. It is also tested a personal experience with the use of addictive substance and the final part is directed to finding out, if the policemen have enough information regarding to addictive substances issue, where they gain information from and if they are satisfied with the source of information from their employer´s side.
